We do state of the art work and have a cadre of outstanding professionals on our team.SPA assists the Government in developing leading edge technologies to counter WMD in support of CCMDs and transitioning these technologies to services and SOCOM. SPA provides expertise across the full range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations. Assists CX Government leadership in the understanding, establishment and analysis of existing and future systems definitions and designs responsive to rapidly evolving projected threats and rapid development of new technologies. Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a technical, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making or resource allocation. Utilizes complex modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Uses quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition and program planning, control, and execution. Engages with stakeholders to help design, develop and evaluate technology transition pathways.+ Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry of related (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related scientific or engineering field)+ 5+ years of experience in engineering, science, CBRN or WMD R programs+ Demonstrated physical science research and development experience+ DoD Secret level clearancePreferred (eg Education, Certifications)+ MS or PhD in Chemistry and/or knowledge of traditional and emerging chemical and biological warfare agents+ Experience in chemical and biological defense as part of a DoD research and development enterprise+ Experience with the DoD Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) and DoD acquisition policies+ Familiarity with scientific program development, planning, programming and reporting+ TS/SCIID: 2021-5189 Overview (Text Only): Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc.
