Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for an analytical and organized individual to join the company as a research assistant. The position is based in Rockville, Maryland. New employees will work remotely until it becomes safe to return to our offices.  

Job Responsibilities:
•    Support data collection activities.
•    Develop project materials and documentation.
•    Work with IT and project staff on systems requirements.
•    Test project systems.
•    Assist with training materials development.
•    Monitor productivity and quality of data collection efforts.
•    Work collaboratively with the research team and others within the company.
•    Provide administrative support as needed.
•    Complete ad-hoc research projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A Master's degree, preferably in the social sciences. 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    One year of relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications:  
•    Moderate proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Desire to join a fast-paced environment. 
•    Reliable, highly accurate, and efficient work style.
•    Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
•    Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask.
•    Effective written and oral communication skills.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
