Location:Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD

R esponsibilities:

The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for coordinating and implementing an established comprehensive plan for developing key internal and external donors' relationships by cultivating philanthropic support and forging new opportunities. The Fundraising Program and activities include individual community and corporate donations, fundraising events, prospect proposals, planned and annual giving campaigns, and major and institutional gifts.

Works directly with the Chief Development Officer to execute a multi-faceted fund development program which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organization and to insure the best results from solicitations.

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health, Holy Cross Health, and Holy Cross Health Foundation.

What you will need:

  • A four-year college degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in fund development/philanthropy is required.
  • A proven track record in cultivating and securing major gifts and planned gifts is required.
  • Must have superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Word, spreadsheet, and data base packages.
  • Must possess integrity, be trustworthy, and inspire the confidence of donors and potential donors.
