Description: Job Summary: The hotel Housekeeper is an hourly non-exempt position reporting directly to the Department Supervisor. The Housekeeper position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel guest rooms and common areas. Typical shift hours are between 8am and 5pm, Sunday through Saturday.Benefits: Medical, company paid Dental and Vision, Voluntary, paid Leave and Holidays, Travel DiscountEssential Functions:Aligns with the policies, procedures and standards of the Cherry Cove Group, hotel brand and franchiseStrip, removes linens, cleans guestroom to brand standardReports rooms as clean and availableReports maintenance deficiencies to maintain compliance with brand standardsDelivers special request items such as cribs, roll-a-ways, extra linen, etc. to guestroomsRotates and stocks suppliesInspects linen for stains and or tearsLoads and operates commercial washers and dryersFold and stock linenOther duties as assignedSafety and Security:Complies with safety protocols such as glove use and cart placement while performing cleaningRecognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazardsUnderstands and adheres to policies and procedures for the hotel's key control and lost and found systemsParticipates in on-going safety trainingWears appropriate personal protective wear as necessary while working. Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multi-task and be organizedAbility to complete assigned tasks in timely mannerAbility to exercise good judgmentAbility to schedule, prioritize, and perform workAbility to read, write, and communicate effectivelyAbility to complete Brand required training within Brand specified timeframeEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GED, preferredPrior hospitality housekeeping experience preferredPhysical and Environmental Conditions:Ability to push/pull up to 200lb housekeeping cartAbility to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum cleaners, brooms, spray bottles, etc.Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to bend at the waist and stretch above the headThis position works with and around several different chemicals during the course of the dayThis position works with and around blood borne pathogensDue to the nature of the position, you can expect to walk around the hotel and standup the majority of the time.
