An Assistant Director of Critical Care, CVICU is needed at one of the DMV's busiest heart hospitals. The Assistant Director of Critical Care, CVICU will direct the clinical, administrative services, activities, and patient delivery related to nursing care provision at this hospital's 20-bed CTICU unit. They will play a large role in the clinical education of staff to ensure competencies are maintained and staff recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and evaluation. This position will report to a highly supportive and experienced Divisional Nurse Director of Critical Care and work with a cohort of Critical Care ICU Nurse Managers.This role's ideal candidate has leadership and or clinical experience with post-operative open-heart surgery patients, having worked in a CTICU, CSICU, or CVICU. Experience with units running ECMO is preferred, as is an MSN, but professional experience will be considered in place of an advanced degree.
