The position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the requirements for IT system security techniques and system support plans. Additionally, the position provides requisite technical expertise in the implementation of security standards and guidelines, instructions, manuals and policies regarding establishing new requirements.This position leads requirements gathering sessions, translates business requirements into detailed technical system specifications and serves as the liaison between client stakeholders and the technical project team. In addition, the Business Analyst assists in managing the software development activities, provides informatics guidance to organizational leadership related to information management practices, workflows, requirements gathering and analytics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. A' Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.Creates comprehensive requirements documents outlining the necessities for an automated web-based application.Performs highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.Manages and organizes resources and personnel required to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of each task.Reviews and assesses technical problems and technical solutions in order to develop and discuss alternative strategies.Provides technical recommendations on the formation and implementation of plans to manage and reduce program/project risks identified.Effectively communicates detailed technical requirements specifications, both verbally and in writing, to all project team members, client stakeholders, and senior management.Provides technical expertise in accordance with the Systems Engineering Process (SEP) and provides system-engineering functions to evaluate the scope, schedule, and design to meet end of-life mandates.Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.A' Develops user manuals, training and promotional materials.Performs quality assurance reviews of existing documentation.A' Performs analysis, development, and testing of complex reporting solutions.A' Performs analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.A' Develops user interface designs, screenshots, walkthroughs, workflows, uniformly structured use cases and supplementary specifications. Provides expertise and support for documented requirements traceability.A' Demonstrates flexibility to support emerging program needs and priorities.Serves as lead analyst when directed.Leads and participates in design and planning meetings.A' Utilizes depth of reporting and tool specific expertise to recommend leading edge solutions.A' Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions.A' Acts as a resource in the interpretation and use of data generated and utilized by users.A' Develops SQL queries, SSRS reports, Tableau Views and Dashboards, as well as automated emails to meet organizational requirements.A' Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. A' Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. A' Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. A' Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEAssociates degree and a minimum two (2) years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education / experience.A' Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.Master's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
