IP Tech Support Engineer

Overview: TNS has an excellent opportunity to join our Global Network Operations team, requiring the application of your experience and expertise in a varied role. Primarily covering escalation support for TNS Financial Markets services and network infrastructure the role involves a wide range of platforms and technologies from ultra low latency financial exchanges, large scale BGP networks, to wireless CPE end points using 4g/dsl. Role Summary: Support resolution of escalated service incident tickets Support Major Incident Management Incident / Major Incident root cause analysis Problem management resolution Network maintenance Providing on-call support (rota based) and occasional out of hours work Support for disaster recovery activities Provide training, knowledge transfer and ongoing support to TNS NOC analysts Support evolution of documentation and processes Requirements: 8+ years' experience in a network operations environment supporting a low latency IP network, ideally within financial services Strong understanding of multicast routing protocols Financial markets network troubleshooting experience Expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, LDP, MPLS VPN and IPsec technologies Extensive hands-on experience with the configuration of Cisco (IOS and Nexus), Juniper, and Arista routers, and switches TAC case management and escalation processes Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience dealing directly with customer engineering teams Ideally you will also possess the following, but not essential: Familiarity with Linux and basic scripting ITIL working knowledge / foundation certificate Desired Certifications: Arista, Juniper, Fortinet certification, Cisco - CCNP level or higher TNS is an equal opportunity employer.
