International Admissions Assistant

The George Mason University, Office of Admissions invites applications for a part-time International Admissions Processing Assistant position. About the Position:

Working hours are Monday-Friday, four to five hours per day.

Please note that this is an hourly paid position that does not include university benefits.


  • Processing and organizing admissions application materials;
  • Providing customer service to applicants (e.g., in person, by phone or e-mail, etc.);
  • Assisting with other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to work as a member of a team;
  • Superior communication skills;
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to the overall goals of the Mason Admissions Office are needed;
  • Must be comfortable working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations and college students of all ages, and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and to maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a university admissions environment.
