Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Inventory Tech for our Pharmacy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Pharmacy Inventory Technician (PIT) works in conjunction with facility pharmacy management and the system procurement specialist/manager to ensure drug inventory is adequate to meet the needs of day-to-day operations, confirm drug product barcodes are entered into appropriate databases for patient safety The PIT will be responsible for medication orders from wholesalers and outside vendors, avoiding stock outs and assisting with the reduction of medication waste. In addition to these specialized responsibilities, this position will also be able to function as and perform all duties in Pharmacy Tech I and Pharmacy Tech II positions.

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor of Science, Arts, or Associate degree in a healthcare related field preferred or graduation from an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program (Preferred)
• At least 2 years work experience specifically with inventory management systems. Pharmacy purchasing experience required.
• Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification (Preferred) or National Health Career Association (ExCPT)
