The Therapeutic Nursery Program is seeking a dedicated employee to fill the role of Assistant Director at the Rockville Lourie Center site, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Therapeutic Nursery Program (TNP) is a specialized early childhood education program focused on children's social and emotional development. The classroom is similar to a preschool program, but serves children who have social and emotional delays, trauma histories, aggressive behaviors, and other needs

As the TNP Assistant Director, you will:
•Develop and implement clinical and educational policies and procedures for relationship-based service delivery in the TNP including application and admission procedures; case management: implementation of the therapeutic interventions; and record keeping.
•Assure compliance with policies and procedures as mandated by contracts and various regulating bodies.
•Train and provide ongoing supervision and support to TNP classroom social workers.
•Assist with all onsite Human Resource activities including Recruitment, hiring, promotions and disciplinary action; New hire and annual orientation; Annual performance appraisals consistent with the Center's performance appraisal system.
•Oversee the development, implementation, and updating of the individual treatment plans and the treatment strategies to be used in the classroom.
•Coordinate and provide in-service training and consultative activities for program staff as needed.
•Collaborate with director to prepare and co-lead daily staff meeting, facilitate team process for cohesive and effective service delivery, develop program goals and objectives and prepare annual program plans, monitor and assess program performance, prepare an annual program evaluation report , and manage the program within the budget parameters.
•Assist the TNP Director and Education Coordinator with TNP contract and licensure compliance in accordance with Maryland State regulations.
•Provide administrative support for the program which may include monthly reporting, monthly billing, time-keeping, purchasing and other tasks as needed.

•Masters degree in a mental health discipline or early childhood education field preferred.
•Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Maryland or educational equivalent.
•Extensive knowledge of child development, and mental health , especially with young children and families.
•At least two years of progressively responsible experience in a mental health or educational setting, including clinical and supervisory/administrative responsibilities.
•Strong administrative skills.
