Dewberry is seeking a Sr. Financial Planner & Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance Department at our headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.

Dewberry is looking for a high performing Sr. FPA Professional to join its Corporate Finance team and have an immediate impact. Your core responsibility will be to work with key stakeholders within Finance and across the organization, to report, forecast, and integrate top-line metrics. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in streamlining routine reporting processes. Candidates will have outstanding partnership and communication skills, handle multiple priorities, possess deep attention to detail, an unrelenting drive to get to the answer, and the ability to thrive in the ambiguity and open space that comes in a fast-growing organization. Candidates will also be required to have mastery of Excel with excellent modeling and data manipulation skills as well as experience in Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Support management with data driven in depth analysis
  • Perform financial analysis by using various analytics tools such as Business Intelligence, data mining or forecasting
  • Supports annual operational and capital budgeting activities
  • Analyze trends of key indicators related to financial and operational metrics and identify root causes of variations
  • Review and analyze financial statements at corporate and business unit level
  • Design, create and implement management reports using Business Intelligence
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Responsible for monthly management reporting
  • Evaluate processes and reports to drive efficiencies and support automation efforts
  • Analyzes the opportunity for implementing technology solutions by quantifying potential savings and value addition
  • Participates in the development, modification, and review of accounting systems, reporting methods, and controls. Coordinates accounting functions with IT as necessary
  • Implements mechanisms to monitor and evaluate processes for continuous quality & efficiency improvement
  • Collaborating with other functions effectively to create enhanced reporting and analysis
  • Support corporate strategic financial goals as needed.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • C.P.A. or MBA preferred , but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of data analytics using Power BI
  • Minimum 5 years of supporting the finance and/or accounting functions
  • Experience with Government Contracting would be a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to make independent judgment
  • Proficient in use of MS Access, but not required
  • Advanced in use of Microsoft Excel (macros preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
