Locations: VA - Richmond, United States of America, Richmond, Virginia Sr Manager, Technology Engineering - Identity & Access Management Capital One is seeking a Sr Manager, Technology Engineering within the Identity and Access Management organization to lead a team responsible for engineering, operational support and service delivery of enterprise level Directory Services platforms that include Active Directory, Azure & AWS Active Directory, Google Cloud Domain Directory and related software technologies. Candidates must be an experienced people manager, a technical expert in Directory Service technologies, software automation through CI/CD pipelines, directory security, be self-motivated, and must be able to work well in a fast paced, results focused and geographically dispersed environment. Candidates for this role should have expert level knowledge in complex enterprise level Active Directory environments, software management and CI/CD pipelines tools. Candidates should have strong people management, team building, and mentoring skills to grow and lead a geographically dispersed team. As Directory Services is leveraged by the enterprise and Lines of Businesses, candidates must have strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills to partner with our customers. Candidates should be passionate about leading a team responsible for delivering a secure, stable and continually improving environment. In addition, candidates should welcome the challenge of developing automated solutions, delivering security tools or processes, integrating new technologies, and the opportunity to work on cloud based platforms from AWS, Microsoft, and Google. Responsibilities Lead a team of engineers responsible for the 24x7x365 operational support, administration, and service delivery of Capital One s enterprise Active Directory in a hybrid on-premises and cloud hosted environment that includes software used by the enterprise. Manage and secure the enterprise identity cloud directories including Microsoft Azure AD, AWS Microsoft AD, and Google Cloud Domain Directory along with the required sync technologies Guide software engineering principles, patterns and practices for designing, building and instrumenting scalable, resilient and secure systems or solutions through CI/CD pipelines Coordinate efforts including major version upgrades, automated monitoring and auditing infrastructure, and other engineering initiatives to insure a robust, agile and secure environment Partner with lines of business and other technology teams to support the design, delivery, and support of new products and services Partner with lines of business to integrate business applications into the Directory Services environment Lead and/or participate in troubleshooting complex incidents with other technology teams Coach, mentor, develop and grow the Directory Platforms team Be the liaison between Directory Services team members, incident management representatives, and business leads during incident calls and follow-up actions Analyze patterns and incident trends to facilitate root cause analysis and develop continuous improvement action plans Act as project lead or participate as a team member on cross IAM projects Lead recovery exercises for Directory Services and support large scale application disaster recovery exercises on-premises and in the cloud Manage, review and approve standard operational procedures and work instructions Manage and socialize Directory Services service performance metrics to all levels of management Basic Qualifications Bachelor s degree At least 5 years of Active Directory experience At least 2 years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of software At least 2 years of people management experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematics At least 8 years of Active Directory experience including the engineering, directory security, operational support, and implementation of highly complex enterprise solutions At least 2 years of experience managing an Active Directory operations or engineering team At least 3 years of experience developing complex scripts in PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, Python or other languages to develop automated solutions At least 3 years of experience supporting Active Directory in a cloud hosted environment from AWS, Microsoft, or Google At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based directories such as Microsoft Azure, AWS Microsoft AD, and Google Cloud Domain Directory At least 1 year of experience with Agile and ITIL methodologies At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
