The Role:

The Data Exchange Platforms (DEP) team is leading a transformational effort to deliver reusable and extensible platform solutions for our internal and external customers. These platform solutions are focused on APis, Streaming, data and machine learning ecosystems solutions.

The DEP team is looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about technology and solution innovation. The Software Engineer will serve as a technical lead of a team who creates data focused solutions for analytics, metrics and reporting. The Software Engineer will partner with the numerous product managers and platform development teams to promote and improve our product offerings.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate/lead team members to create automated solutions
  • Build and maintain excellent internal and external client relationships.
  • Drive the user feedback loops to prioritize high value features on product roadmaps
  • Perform with minimal direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Establish KPIs to measure solution effectiveness and business objectives
  • Create graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
  • Set and meet deadlines

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • At least 5 years of Software Engineering experience
  • At least 3 years experience working within the Scaled Agile framework

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in platform product management, developer services or enterprise data management
  • 3+ years of experience in directly managing Software Engineers
  • 3+ years experience with AWS Web Service platforms (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, SnowFlake)
  • 3+ years experience with stream-processing systems (Storm, Spark-Streaming, Kafka)
  • 3+ years experience with object-oriented/object function languages (Python, Java, C++, Scala, R)
  • 3+ years experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (SnowFlake, Postgres, Cassandra)
  • 3+ years experience with Data visualization tools (Tableau, Splunk, Kibana, AWS QuickSight)
