RealStreet currently has a great opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department Manager in Dulles, VA. This individual will support our client, a growing environmental engineering firm. Job Responsibilities The CMT Department Manager will oversee and manage the construction materials testing, special inspection services while coordinating the efforts of other engineers, technicians, special inspectors including sub-consultants to deliver results that ensure the goal of exceeding our clients' expectations on every project. Additional responsibilities of the CMT Department Manager include: Manage and lead a 20-person team to include: Engineers Engineering Technicians Project Managers Junior & Senior CMT Field and Laboratory Staff Project management to include: Proposals preparation Report review Quality control Profitable P&L Manage multiple deadlines Shares responsibility in meeting the branches' business development, marketing and proposal goals Oversees and is involved in scheduling May perform field work to include: CMT Field and laboratory projects Geotechnical engineering assignments Other attributes to perform this job effectively include: Oral and written communication and presentation skills Customer service skills Ability to work in an independent and within cross-functional teams to achieve company and project goals Highly organized individual with attention to detail Job Requirements: Requirements of the CMT Department Manager role include: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field Ten (10) + years of experience in CMT services Three (3) + years of experience managing and leading teams PE license in Virginia or ability to obtain within 1 year Technical skills, including proficiency with: AutoCAD Version 22 or higher Some Travel - surrounding States Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous company match Medical Insurance Plan which includes prescription coverage Voluntary Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance & Long-term Disability Build a better construction career with RealStreet!
