ResponsibilitiesOur consultants on the Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data engineering, data querying and wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. Our consultants focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.A' Job Description/Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and test infrastructures for data generation to transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed to drive key business decisionsPartner with data scientists/analysts and cross-functional teams to discover, collect, cleanse, and refine the data needed for analysis and modelingDevelop,A' build,A' test,A' and maintain data pipeline architectures and toolsA' Align architecture with key business requirementsA' Perform complex queries usingA' SQLA' IdentifyA' ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and qualityA' Conduct research for industry and business questionsA' Prepare data for data science/machine learning/predictive and prescriptive modelingA' Use data to discover tasks that can be automatedA' Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functionsRemove roadblocks to development through collaboration, communication, and creative solutionsDrive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery in an Agile frameworkA' Understand and implement best practices in data management A' QualificationsRequired:US Citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Public TrustS./BA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar quantitative and computational discipline3+ years of experience developing data pipelines or ETLsA' 3+ years of experience in Python or Scala3+ years of experience in performing data engineering to enable data science and machine learningStrong understanding of SQL, relational databases, columnar data warehouses, and data modelingA' Knowledge of TDD, automated testing principles, and testing best practicesA' Ability to instrument basic automation and CI/CD including a familiarity with Jenkins/GitA' Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)A' Experience with Spark and DatabricksKnowledge/experience designing and building distributed systems for scalability and securityA' Ability to self-educate on new technologies, techniques and methodsPreferred:S./MA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar quantitative and computational discipline5+ years of relevant experienceExperience with micro services architecture and API gatewaysContributing as a team member: understanding team roles, collaborating with team membersSupporting clients: identifying and addressing needs, building relationships, being flexible, communicating effectivelyBusiness development including RFP/RFQ/RFI responsesKnowledge of defense or national security Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
