Anne Arundel Community College Instructional Specialist-Culinary, Contract with Benefits Position ID Number: Posted Date: Jul 12, 2021 Job Category: Staff Department: Correctional Edu & Spec Popula - HCES Position Status: Contractual Salary Range: $56,126 - $63,142 Position Summary: The Correctional Education and Special Populations Instructional Specialist is a member of the program team dedicated providing culinary instruction to students between the ages of 16-24 from the Woodland Job Corps Center. The Instructional Specialist will be responsible for: the delivery of noncredit instruction face-to-face, and online using the Canvas Learning Management System; conducting inventory of equipment and supplies, and maintaining files and student records. Associate's degree or higher A' . Minimum of ten years related culinary experience. A' . Minimum of two years of teaching or training experience with diverse populations. Hospitality/Culinary industry certificate equivalent to executive level A' . Experience with curriculum development. A' . Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations. A' . Strong organizational skills, including the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with diverse populations (students, administrators, faculty/staff, professional organizations/associations, and the general public). A' . Demonstrated ability to work collegially with a culturally diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and administrators a regular basis. Preferred Qualifications: A' . Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines, including the ability to teach both synchronous and asynchronous formats. Bachelor's Degree. A' . Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends and to travel locally to accommodate the needs of the program. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
