The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of projects and initiatives that support the Credit Union\u2019s strategic and operational goals. This includes planning, execution, and implementation of projects to deliver intended outcomes, on time, on budget, and within scope according to business priorities. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with project teams while managing the full lifecycle of projects.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Governance
  • Ensure project results have an articulated scope with quantifiable business benefit
  • Partner with business teams to ensure that project scope is fully defined, including defining project exclusions, assumptions, and constraints
  • Connect project messaging and reporting to strategic and operational business initiatives
  • Represent the project at project governance and inter-department forums
  • Develop communication plans and interfaces to actively engage business partners
  • Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria


Project and Program Delivery
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, and work with team members to oversee all phases until project completion
  • Define and create project plans for projects, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation
  • Coordinate activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project
  • Assess, communicate and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
  • Make appropriate tradeoffs with business partners to mitigate issues and risks
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast paced working environment and effectively balance multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to receive and interpret information and formulate a course of corrective action to problem situations
  • Innovative thinking is critical


Qualifications

  • High school diploma, Bachelor\u2019s degree (BA/BS) preferred
  • Minimum 4 years professional expertise and demonstrated outcome delivery across different types of high-risk, high-value projects
  • Ability to intuitively understand how products and processes live in the Credit Union operation system and ancillary systems and how changes to those products and processes will affect each other
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across disciplines; coordinate work done by a team; resolve disputes; and provide leadership to a project team
  • Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management Tools (Workfront, Visio, MS Project etc.)
  • Knowledge and expertise in use of project management and SDLC methodologies and tools (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative)
  • Certifications
    • PMP or Six Sigma Black belt preferred
    • Agile or Scrum Master Certification preferred
