Job Summary/Company: A major D.C. transportation organization is looking for a Medical Compliance Assistant to join its team. This person will support the Drug and Alcohol Compliance department within the organization.

Interested candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as necessary. The position will be 100% onsite and candidates will be required to travel between two different sites (downtown Washington, D.C. and Landover, MD) as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains confidentiality of all files/records, and information specific to employees and applicants seen in the Medical Office when communicating verbally and in writing
  • Coordinates scheduling of employees for required medical examinations for appropriate positions in a timely manner with various divisions and departments
  • Ensures proper and eligible labeling of all specimens and observes all requirements of the chain of custody form
  • Ensures that all equipment is in proper operating condition at all times and periodically makes minor adjustments, etc. in cases of malfunctioning
  • Will need to be available to work rotating shifts, to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Experience required with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Educated and trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the medical care environment, to include data entry, filing and strong organizational skills
