Web Developer - Sitecore Job Summary:
We are seeking a Web Developer to join a local non-profit for a long-term contract assignment in Richmond, VA. We are looking for someone to support the launch of a new website — and to provide ongoing design, production, and support after its launch. This role will be responsible for providing front-end website support including graphic design for web production. This is mainly a production role. Day-to-day activities center around uploading files and designing and implementing webpages within existing page templates using the Content Management System (CMS) Sitecore.

Web Developer - Sitecore Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for uploading, pulling content and files to/from Sitecore DAM and CMP.
  • Create/implement page designs from Creative Brief, within preselected templates on the Sitecore platform.
  • Read and interpret requirements, ask questions as needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ensure pages are developed within delivery schedule.
  • Participate in team meetings as appropriate.
  • Provide visual Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) of all graphics; test links and ensure new pages appear and function as expected.
  • Troubleshoot issues in partnership with IT and/or external partners as needed; make recommendations for solutions/improvements when appropriate.
  • Stay current with technical and design trends in website design.
Web Developer - Sitecore Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience and skill set with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, for creating/optimizing illustrations, photos, and videos.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems is required; experience with the Sitecore platform is preferred.
  • Experience and skill set with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with designers, writers, subject matter experts and other team members.
  • Ability to provide online portfolio of work experience (e.g. websites, projects, products).Experience with UI/UX optimization and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of current on-page SEO best practices.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
