Social Media Specialist Job Summary:

Sparks Group is looking for a Social Media Specialist with an eagle-eye for detail and the ability to implement and execute social media strategies that go beyond run-of-the-mill best practices. You'll be joining a rapidly growing digital marketing agency headquartered in Washington, DC. The role will be temporarily remote, but the hope is that people will return to the office eventually.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Establish, activate, and manage an integrated strategy across social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, and other owned channels.
  • Assist in building and managing a Content Calendar.
  • Execute daily posting and updating of social media accounts in alignment with built strategy.
  • Deliberate planning, strategy, and goal setting for each platform and each brand.
  • Be aware and monitor trends in social media.
  • Foster relationships with affiliates and influencers; manage and maintain partnerships; expand influencer marketing strategies.
  • Identify content, trends, groups, brands, and industries that appeal to target demographics.
  • Assist with influencer marketing and product seeding & strategy.
  • Analyze key metrics and be able to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage social media interactions and respond to messages/comments on all active social media accounts.
  • Create a well-vetted publishing schedule based on optimal engagement time that can be supported by the proper metrics and analytics.
  • Work with team members to establish graphics and updates for all profiles including Facebook covers, profile pics, thumbnails, Instagram story highlights, and other necessary visuals.
  • Track insights consistently and develop actionable strategies to boost audience following, reach, interactions, and growth on all social platforms.
  • Conduct and/or participate in meetings to keep staff informed and resolve problems.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities.
  • Cultivate documentation on upcoming market trends based on digital marketing research.

Social Media Specialist Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of concentrated experience in social media with a portfolio; focus professional services industry is a big plus.
  • Experience with social media tools, platforms, apps, and CMS.
  • Proficient in content theory and application.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Knowledge of building Influencer program and/or strategy.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Can pick up new tools and platforms quickly.
  • Maintains excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Possessing a strong work ethic that includes neatness and punctuality.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple teams, receive direction from executive level management, and provide a positive influence on other team members.
