Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide the overall direction and oversight for account management, strategy development, security assessment, and operations direction that provides a disciplined, reliable approach to the management of systems in the Security, Compliance & Internal Controls (SCIC) section.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of account management and security programs and strategies for the Service Delivery Staff (SDS) in coordination with the Cybersecurity Services Staff (CSS).
  • Assist with implementation of agency-wide project management procedures, tools, templates, activities, and infrastructure to align SDS internal business practices with government-wide regulations and policies.
  • Plan and carry out programs, resolve conflicts, and integrate and coordinate the work of others as necessary.
  • Identify, track, and report security incidents within SDS in accordance with Department of Justice (DOJ) policies, guidelines and practices.
  • Identify and implement new solutions that are more efficient, more effective and/or less expensive.
  • Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.

  • Position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Applicants must pass a drug screen prior to employment and subject to random drug testing for the duration of employment.

  • Additional selections may be made from this recruitment, for up to 90 days, if openings occur in other offices serviced by JMD Human Resources.

  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed
  • This position requires a Federal Acquisition Certificate for Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR) and/or Federal Acquisition Certificate for Program Manager (FAC-PM) Level III within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position requires candidate to be able to hold a security clearance at the TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance level.


Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Program Manager (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN)-DIRECT HIRE at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.

Basic Requirements:

4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

AND

Specialized Experience Statement: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the federal service. At a minimum, specialized experience must be in or related to the following:
1. Providing direction on implementation of IT infrastructure requirements across an organization;
2. Developing long-range plans for IT systems;
3. Directing activities in system administration and account provisioning, management, and closure;
4. Directing activities in response to cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities for IT security systems; and/or
5. Managing IT and/or projects and services to meet internal and external customer requirements.
