Summary

This position is located at Treasury's Departmental Offices, reporting to the Under Secretary for Domestic Finance. As Director of Operations, you will serve as a key senior advisor, with delegated authority and responsibilities by the Under Secretary regarding administration, strategic management, and operations of the Office of Domestic Finance.

Responsibilities

As the Director of Operations, you will:

- Lead development of DF management strategy, ensuring consistency with broader DF, Treasury, and United States Government (USG) goals and mandates.
- Supervise and provide direction to the management and program analyst personnel within the Office of the Under Secretary, who are charged with the day-to-day implementation of DF's business operations.
- Oversee the formulation and execution of DF's budget, based on the direction and recommendations by the Under Secretary and Assistant Secretaries, and in coordination with the Management Office within the Department of the Treasury, Office of Management and Budget, and other agencies involved in the budget process.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
    Specialized experience for the GS-15 equivalent: An applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Successful experience can be gained in the Federal service or its equivalent in state or local government or private sector organizations.

    Applicants must have all the following specialized experiences to minimally qualify for the position:

    - Experience developing, communicating and implementing the strategy, vision and direction of an organization. AND
    - Experience developing workplans and budgets for federal programs. AND
    - Experience providing advice and direction to a senior manager for operational programs and the development of policies and strategic planning for a variety of management activities across an organization. AND
    - Experience managing office resources to include budget, personnel and facilities.
    Time in Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
