NAEYC is seeking an Advertising Sales and Event Solutions Manager. NAEYC is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. The Advertising Sales and Event Solutions Manager must be highly motivated and proactive in successfully selling NAEYC media properties' advertising, event and other related products. The person will conduct research to identify likely purchasers; proactively outreach to build relationships; create a robust sales pipeline; and regularly track and report out on progress made and companies engaged. Duties and Responsibilities: * Actively promote and sell advertising and event opportunities to identified prospective purchasers, highlighting specific NAEYC products that are most relevant to the target audience. Meet weekly / monthly goals for identifying prospects, sales calls and closed sales. * Originate and manage the customer's order, invoice, specifications and other relevant fulfillment properties, in accordance with the sales guidelines. Complete billing and collections duties. * Collaborate and execute revenue-generating activities at NAEYC meetings, conferences and other outreach efforts. * Create and provide input to the team's marketing efforts; develop appropriate collateral material (digital and print) to target and engage prospective purchasers. * Responsible for sponsorship fulfillment duties, done in coordination with the Senior Director. * Develop, maintain, constantly enhance, and implement a strategy for selling advertising and event opportunities, to include sponsorships, based on the Corporate Strategic Alliance guidelines. * Assist with other administrative duties as needed. The Advertising Sales and Event Solutions Manager will not be directly supervising any part or full-time staff. Desired Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 3-5 years related experience conducting sales, ideally for publication advertising sales and/or with an association. * Interest in and commitment to early childhood education. * 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred. * 2-3 years of sales experience preferred. * This position requires travel and is considered nonessential.
