Registered Architect / Construction - Greenbelt, MD 20771 System One has a temp-to-hire employment conversion opportunity for a Sr. Architect to support our client's project at NASA. The Sr. Architect performs a variety of assignments such as conducting site surveys, developing design documents (15%, 35%, 60%, 90%, and 100% design drawings), design concepts, and preparing design related reports. Prepares drawings in Revit and CAD, renderings, layouts, construction documents, and color boards. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and NASA requirements. Revit/AutoCAD MEP, ACAD, Microsoft Office required Important Local candidates only (neither relocation nor living expenses provided) United States Citizenship is required (NO sponsorship) Will be required to pass all System One and Client onboarding processes. Temp to hire after a minimum of 520 hours Qualifications and Skills: Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts. Proficiency Requirements: Revit, CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required. The ability to make presentations to clients and others is preferred. Sr. Architect will have the following experience: 8+ years of related experience in building architecture Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required. Professional registration in State of Maryland is required at this level. Registration in State of Maryland Provides interdisciplinary reviews. Reviews construction submittals. Reviews supplier drawings and samples; performs budgetary estimates. Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others. Provides the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract. Provides technical guidance to lower-level Architects and Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project. Keeps abreast of current technologies via technical subscriptions and attendance at conferences. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
