Job DescriptionMott MacDonald is looking for professionals to join our ever-expanding environmental team, here in Hunt Valley, Md. We are looking for Entry Level Construction Inspectors or Materials Testing Technicians with a strong work ethic and some experience in construction the Baltimore/Washington area. The successful candidate will be able to learn and apply a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized. Candidate must become thoroughly familiar with required construction documents and technical aspects of the project. This is a growth opportunity for the right candidate. Following training, additional responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and related documents.Performing full-time observation of construction activities and clearly documenting all work and contractor's conformance with the plans and specifications.Preparing detailed Daily Reports for submission to the project records. Reports will include contractors work performed, labor and equipment utilized, materials received, quality control testing performed, notice of any nonconforming work, measurement of payment items, weather, and any unusual observations.Maintaining a strong client relationship and a professional relationship with the contractor and the communities.Overseeing materials testing as required.May be required to drive for business purposes.Candidate SpecificationMott MacDonald's association with the water industry dates to the 1900s.
