This is a full-time position with Tecknomic and the project is NAVY. This position provides on-site and/or remote (as agreed upon by customer) financial and contract management data management support and oversight for BUMED. Performs data entry into the Contract Management Planning and Surveillance System (COMPASS), conducts data extraction from multiple legacy systems, prepares BUMED specific reports, and completes analyses to assist the customer with identification of potential deobligations for repurposing, and accurate financial statement reporting. Conducts training to government staff. Supports COMPASS Consultant (SMEs) staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data submission to the customer. Provides basic problem resolution and process improvement, with issue elevation to the Team Lead/Program Manager. No travel is required. Job Details: Provides COMPASS support to BUMED/NMLC Directorates. Completes data entry, extraction, analyses, and reconciliation of contractual, funding, and invoicing documents, maintaining at least a 98% accuracy rate. Conducts training to military, civilian, and contract staff, as needed on COMPASS functionality as well as available reports and exporting data to excel. Utilizes COMPASS to manage finance and contract-related reports in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. Identifies potential opportunities for process improvement in COMAPASS and CMD. Applies technical knowledge of DoD guidance, regulations, instructions, and policies to ensure customer compliance, to ensure internal control programs such as Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR). Assists customer with utilization of finance and contract management accounting structure. Identifies current and prior fiscal year financial and contract under-execution; recommends potential deobligations and prepares deobligation workbooks with at least a 98% accuracy rate. Prepare contracting action packages for peer, clearance, and other procedural oversight reviews as assigned. Conducts quality assurance for BUMED COMPASS Admin Team as assigned. When applicable, maintains staffing module and/or workflow for designated site(s), with minimum of 95% accuracy rate. Receives oversight and direction from Team Lead/PM. Requirements: 3 years of DoD Financial Management and/or Contract Management Systems experience. Must be eligible for a US government issued security clearance (or have an active security clearance). DHA medical, financial, and contract management experience. General knowledge of government accounting, theory, principles, and practices. Understanding government financial and contract procedures, and legacy systems General knowledge of government accounting theory, principles, and practices. Understanding of government and Department of Defense (DoD) medical and financial regulations Understanding of government financial and contract procedures and legacy systems. Understanding of office automation and computerized financial applications. Basic organizational and administrative skills, with demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to accurately enter, record and retrieve data. Ability to organize and interpret data. Ability to interpret financial reports. Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to effectively communicate in an office environment. Demonstrated ability to use all facets of Microsoft Office products. Ability to manage confidential information
