ResponsibilitiesThe senior data management analyst will join our Guidehouse team to support the Department of State in a security sector programs office daily with data collection, analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and training. As part of a small team, the ideal candidate will lean forward on their workstream duties, be flexible and a quick volunteer to pick up other tasks.A' The candidate will be responsible for helping our client prepare for the implementation of a data management IT solution by creating a data management plan to integrate data from multiple sources into a single place. The candidate will also work on developing templates, tools, training, and other resources for an office comprised of program managers, Program Advisors (in the field), and a functional team of subject matter experts. S/he will be responsible for shaping and executing a data management plan and working closely with government stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include: Exploring and advising on software solutions to best capture, analyze, and report project and program data, and support knowledge management activities Supporting and contributing to strategy to centralize all project and program data into one location for future upload into a project management and data analysis system Training client on design, functionality, and requirements for its software solutions Training program managers on data analysis and visualization techniques using Department of State software to produce compelling charts, graphs, and other visualizations Requesting, documenting, reporting, and analyzing implementing partner data, and, where applicable, creating tools and resources to support implementing partner data and reporting Producing dashboards and other visualizations to promote data-driven decision-making Tracking, reporting, and analyzing data and stats coming in from the field to inform decisions to expand, contract, or stay-the-course with current projects and programs Using relevant information and analytic techniques to determine cost/benefit tradeoffs of different program decisions Advising on the how to harness and leverage data to justify funding Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and templates to help program managers produce different types of communications products tailored for various audiences QualificationsBachelors with at least 8 years of experience.
