Support Center Specialist

George Mason University, Information Technology Services (ITS) - located on the Fairfax, Va., campus-invites applications for a Support Center Specialist position within the Technology Support Services, ITS Support Center team. Responsibilities: * Researching, resolving and responding to technical questions received from faculty, staff and students via telephone, email and the walk-up desk in a timely, professional and friendly manner; * Dispatching and escalating issues to other ITS teams, when necessary.

Required Qualifications: * Experience providing telephone support; * Experience troubleshooting issues with hardware, software and peripheral devices; * Experience logging information into an Incident Management (ticketing) System; * Fundamental knowledge of network technology and cybersecurity; * Experience solving problems with a wide variety of computer software and hardware, in a customer service environment; * Participate in projects, as assigned, including working overtime on weekdays and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: * Two or more years' experience solving problems with a wide variety of computer software and hardware, in a customer service environment; * Experience with Apple computers; * Experience with TeamDynamix; * Experience with WebEx Contact Center (WCC); * Knowledge of Banner, Blackboard and/or Office365; * ITIL Certification; * Microsoft and/or other industry certifications; * HDI Certification.

Salary is up to $45,000 commensurate with education and experience.
