Job Announcement

Provides technical and operational support to human services users county-wide. Performs complex programming tasks utilizing multiple platforms, languages and databases. Tests, evaluates and debugs software systems prior to installation. Writes new or modifies existing computer programs and corrects program logic when necessary. Develops programs to satisfy special requests for information from user personnel. Plans and conducts acceptance tests, new systems and modifications to existing systems. Monitors program development. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of installed systems. Develops business solutions by performing all phases of systems development lifecycle to include: identifying business requirements, analyzing and designing technical solutions, supervising the construction of necessary computer programs and procedures, programming code as required, managing staff, testing code, managing implementation efforts and evaluating the degree that systems goals are met. Prepares and maintains systems development and operational documentation. Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Information Systems, Computer Technology, Business, Economics, or related field, plus three years programming/analysis experience in a complex information systems environment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer and be re-certifiable throughout employment tenure. Some positions identified by departments must execute IT Employee Agreement acknowledging obligations under information security and privacy requirements in light of broad access to systems and data in the performance of job duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience providing technical support for electronic health records, familiarity with Patagonia and/or Welligent products.
  • Work with customers who operate public facing benefit programs and local support programs to include child care, housing, family support, public health and transportation.
  • Experience responding to requirements that are time sensitive and mandated by other entities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is essentially sedentary, performed in normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
