Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will:
  • Ensure stakeholders and/or system owners understand system functionalities, logical and physical models, security requirements, and priority relative to the mortgage securitization business.
  • Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes, and document business rules, functions, and requirements.
  • Analyze policies and procedures for issues, inconsistencies, and gaps that have effect across Ginnie Mae; modify and update procedures, including the development, testing, investigation, and documentation of processes.
  • Review system audit findings; review current state, develop potential solutions, close control gaps, document processes, and implement new controls.

  • Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    - Developing policy or procedural changes based on applicable laws, regulations, and industry customs for the management of a program in the housing or finance industry; AND
    - Conducting business analyses to identify alternative approaches to implementing new programs or products, and to identify enhancements to existing business processes; AND
    - Preparing recommendations to senior management as to the best implementation approach for new programs, policies, and enhancements to business processes.

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.     A. This is a term position. A term position does not confer eligibility for transfer to another agency. A term employee does not acquire competitive status or eligibility to be converted to a career conditional appointment, nor is the time served under a term appointment creditable toward career tenure.     B. The employment of a term employee ends automatically at the expiration of his or her term. Term employees, who were previously in a career or career-conditional status, will not automatically be able to return to their career or career-conditional position once the term is over; they may, however, reapply for the career or career-conditional position if it is available.
