Job Title: Senior Knowledge Manager

Location: Ballston, VA

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Responsibilities:

Seasoned, self-motivated, professional with experience supporting high performing teams in a high ops tempo environment. The Knowledge Manager ensures information and knowledge assets are properly created and applied enterprise-wide to improve decision-making. Knowledge Management includes all actions to ensure creation, collection, validation, storage, distribution, assimilation, and application of knowledge within the organization.
  • Provide input to Knowledge Management Plan based on business process analysis and innovations in enterprise information technology knowledge management solutions.
  • Execute knowledge management functions to include creation of knowledge portal sites, knowledge audits, process analysis, and portal performance monitoring
  • Improve the customer's efficiency and effectiveness for both IT systems and business processes.
  • Contribute to a Government-provided Knowledge Management portal that provides status of Knowledge Management activities
  • Employ Knowledge management resources to support internal and external IT service management priorities.
  • Provide leadership on best practices for solution design, with a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration including the use of business process and forms, business intelligence, collaboration services, collaborative document management, and portal interaction
  • Create partnerships with all areas in the service delivery chain and understand their processes and guidelines for delivery
  • Support the implementation of custom SharePoint-based solutions
  • Design and configure federated enterprise search-driven application solutions using managed metadata, content type hub and custom refiners
  • Develop, execute, and document procedures and standards adhering to KM best practices

Position Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience leading knowledge management for a large IT services program
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Confluence and JIRA)
  • Experience using SharePoint

Education and/or Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience
  • Requires AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner OR ability to attain certification within 120 days of start.
