This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Madison, Virginia area.What you get to do every day- Support implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures- Foster accountability and the meeting of deliverables- Other distinguished duties when required- Facilitate the accounting team during the closing process to see to it that deadlines are met- Forward-thinking preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits- Partake in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting- Guarantee regular account reconciliation to completion- Ready different technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures- Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, key financial metrics, and the monthly flash report- Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports- Contribute to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment- Backfill for Controller as required- Recognize and grow process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiencyJob Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting- The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience- Comprehensive knowledge of Sage Accounting Software- Strong technical background in public accounting (GAAP)- Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred- Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment- CPA a plus - Profound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systemsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
