The company is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and has 25,000 employees worldwide who stand behind more than 350 port terminals, oilseed processing plants, grain facilities, and food and ingredient production and packaging facilities around the world.Summary: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production facility; including all machinery, floors, pipes, etc. Primary Responsibilities: Work consistently in a safe manner.Follow established Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures.Undergo direct training in the operation of machinery needed for the effective cleaning of the assigned equipment. Prior to operation or cleaning of any machinery all employees will be given hands on safety training. This includes operational controls as well as pinch points, and safety guards.Clean assigned areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule. This includes a top-down cleaning of all areas, including walls, pipes, tanks, floors and machinery as well as needed breakdown of machinery in assigned area.Proper formulation and testing of chemicals.Proper notification of any malfunctioning machinery during cleaning process.Communicate with Production and Maintenance personnel regarding status of the lines.Maintain sanitation tool and chemical inventory. Communicate needs to Sanitation Supervisor/QA Manager.Verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and put away.Maintain organization and cleanliness of Sanitation Cage.Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor and/or the QA Manager.Qualifications:Must be able to work weekends.Basic Knowledge of manufacturing equipment: including, pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and power sources.Must show mechanical aptitude and be skilled enough to perform light mechanical disassembly.Problem solving and trouble-shooting equipment failure skills.Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
