Must have strong experience estimating commercial Mechanical, Electric and Plumbing projects. Overall Responsibilities: Responsibilities include estimating hospitality/commercial construction renovation projects from $500k to $15 mil. The position requires a full knowledge of CSI divisional cost codes and awareness of varying construction methods and building practices. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: * Receive and log plans/documents for various projects * Take off plans for all material quantities and labor associated with job * Create subcontractor lists for projects and set up pre-bid site meeting * Schedule, coordinate, and assist with subcontractor site meetings * Create transmittals and distribute plans for subcontractors * Coordinate and upload .PDF files and .DWG files to First Finishs FTP site * Receive RFIs for scope of work from subcontractors and distribute to proper authorities for answers, and receive, interpret, and process vendor and subcontractor RFIs * Create and/or review submittals and shop drawings; coordinate approval process * Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors on job scope and implementation * Ability to field measure for various products and materials prior to job start * Visit site for preliminary information gatheringi.e. photographs, existing conditions, size of electrical panels, ceiling heights, etc. * Assist in sourcing products and materials for various projects * Review, analyze, and verify contractor bids for accuracy and cost * Other duties as required Experience: * Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of estimating experience * Knowledge of process from site work through finished construction a must * Must be aware of varying construction methods and building practices * Candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints and translate into accurate quantity takeoffs * Must possess a strong ability to multitask * Candidate must be able/willing to travel * Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of commercial budgeting and constructability analysis a plus * Estimating for federal projects as well as experience with Timberline software a plus EOE Statement: First Finish, LLC is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
