Project Accountant, Direct Hire or Temp to Hire, Work from Home opportunity:This position will support the team by reporting in providing timely financial and operational data to meet the company's objectives in two divisions, Expeditionary Support Services (ESS) and Cyber & Information Warfare (CIW).A' You will report to the Chief Operating Officer of ESS and CIW.Responsibilities:Perform monthly close processes related to assigned projects. Month close responsibilities include revenue and expense accruals, intercompany allocations and billing, subsidiary payroll review and submission, revenue and billing for assigned projects, etc.Track project funding and ceiling amounts on assigned projects.Ensure all project costs are collected and allocated correctly, including purchase orders, expense reports, accounts payable bills, etc.Run project status and job cost transaction reports to monitor costs and maintain direct and indirect budgets. Identify potential issues, recommend and implement corrective actions, and provide support to avoid errors and risk.Prepare monthly program and division financial performance packages.Develop and implement ad-hoc reporting requirements, including custom reports, reconciliation queries, etc.Coordinate with Finance Shared Services for WBS setup and updates for assigned projects.Review of expenses for assigned projects and divisions.Prepare and enter any corrections needed to assigned project and division jobs.Other duties as requested and/or assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or business/finance related field.Minimum of five (5) years of overall related professional experience.Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Experience with government contracting, financial reporting, and analysis.Knowledge of full contract-life cycle support to ensure financial management of contracts, and GAAP and FAR principles.Mus have contract experience with FFP, CPFF, T&M.Knowledge of policy, compliance, and risk requirements for government contracting. Experience using financial and accounting (ERP) systems.Employee must be flexible regarding work hours as they will vary based on work needs with foreign subsidiaries.Ability to obtain a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with JAMIS Prime.Computer Skills:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with significant proficiency in Excel.We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
