Find your future with us.A' Experienced Software Engineer - Mountain View, CA; Chantilly, VA; Fairfax, VA.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to work in either Mountain View, CA; Chantilly, VA; Fairfax, VA.A' We're seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community. Primary responsibilities include supporting software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, unit/integration testing, and support for requirements analysis. Specifically this position will be involved with the development of new application features as well as troubleshooting and resolving various software issues. In addition, engineer will be expected to contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture. The existing system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications. A' Primary Responsibilities:Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration testing of customer desired features/user storiesDevelop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issuesContribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture.A' The existing system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applicationsBasic Qualifications: Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance. MUST BE WILLING TO SIT FOR A CI POLYGRAPH AFTER START DATE This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance. (US Citizenship is required) (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)MUST BE WILLING TO SIT FOR A CI POLYGRAPH AFTER START DATE5+ years' solid foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patternsMust possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technicalDesired Qualifications:5+ years' solid experience in JavaExperience with one or more of the following: HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript, Firebug and JS frameworks (jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, XML, SOAP/WSDL/Web Service protocolsExperience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle)Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfacesExperience using cloud based infrastructure (AWS)Knowledge of Git or other DVCSExperience/knowledge of the GEOINT domainFamiliarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferredIdeal candidate will have a working knowledge of JIRA and the Atlassian product suiteTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
