Position Summary Odyssey Systems has several exciting new opportunities for Engineering / Electronics Technician III position supporting the Programmatic, Flight Test Engineering, and Administrative Support Program for Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL), located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technicians III apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design and T&E decisions. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Support the evaluation of systems and test and evaluation equipment for effects to test and evaluation plans. Contractor shall perform analysis and document results of impacts to test plans. Support ensuring hardware and software interface requirements are identified between aircraft to be tested and test laboratories. Support analyzing test requirements, financial constraints, and developing and preparing recommended test plans. Support evaluating test plans and providing options, to include a determination of the validity of proposed procedures. Support execution of local and off-site test activities with DoD test ranges, proving grounds, and other entities including independent evaluators. Establish, maintain, and provide input to Test and Evaluation historical files including data and results presentations, test timelines, test configuration documentation, team notes, training files, test reports, test planning documentation, as applicable. instructions, and lessons learned. Prepare test reports and maintain documentation such as deficiency reports. Provide engineering and technical services during pretest, test and post-test activities. Support Platform Coordinator with daily planning and execution of flight schedule. Assist in the management of test aircraft, project equipment and instrumentation readiness for testing. Maintain and track aircraft utilization to support test teams. Support interfacing with Project Liaison Office to maintain and track test aircraft configuration and modifications to support testing. Support coordinating and tracking instrumentation modifications performed on test aircraft. Support initiating Maintenance request forms for project work on assigned aircraft. Support coordinating with PMA/IPTs for aircraft utilization, long term aircraft transfer planning, project scheduling and scheduling priorities and make recommendations or entries into standard test scheduling toolsets. Support long range planning goals to formulate a test execution schedule. Maintain project logs for each assigned BuNo (Bureau Number-Aircraft Assigned number) aircraft to track schedule performance and deviations. Support tracking aircraft flight, ground, test events and track special and phase maintenance events for assigned aircraft. Collect, complete, organize and interpret data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs. Track program/project status and schedules. Provide support to system integration documentation development or maintenance; development of government specifications and requirements documents; Test Strategy or Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) documentation development and revisions; may support T&E meetings, Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) and other technical reviews and meetings; support to technology insertion, business re-engineering process development and documentation; and support to processes supporting joint aircraft/stores integration and certification maintenance and tracking Contractor shall support generating and reviewing risk assessments and risk documentation to support program or project requirements. Contractor shall provide support for T&E planning, management, and work efforts in support of program office Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities to include coordination of test activities, Foreign Comparative Testing, and routing of all associated deliverables through the appropriate program offices.
