Description Systems Engineer- Senior (PDSS-21-1009-Z): Bowhead seeks a Systems Engineer- Senior to support our PDSS Contract at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD. The Systems Engineer will interact with users to translate their requirements into system, hardware, and software requirements and design. Responsibilities will include: A cents € cents Solve engineering problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned. A cents € cents Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. A cents € cents Participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems. A cents € cents Solve engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned). Requirements A cents € cents Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline and nine years (9) of work experience in software engineering (which occurred within the last 10 years). A cents € cents Must have demonstrable experience in System Administration, architecture, ESX, virtualization, automation, and PowerShell. A cents € cents Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. A cents € cents Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. A cents € cents Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
