Raytheon Technologies has an opening for a Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst in Washington, DC. The qualified Personnel will be able to analyze alerts/security events/logs for threats such as computer viruses, exploits, and malicious attacks; Use critical thinking to bring together information from multiple sources to determine if a threat is present; Be able to effectively notate work completed during an investigation; Track incoming alerts from multiple clients, and sources effectively. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience. This position requires 100% onsite Customer support. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. Selected candidates will work any of the following 4 day 10 hour shifts based on customer need: Sunday-Wednesday 5a-3p 12p-10p 8p-6a Wednesday-Saturday 5a-3p 12p-10p 8p-6a Required Skills: The qualified Personnel will be able to analyze alerts/security events/logs for threats such as computer viruses, exploits, and malicious attacks; Use critical thinking to bring together information from multiple sources to determine if a threat is present; Utilize knowledge of attack vectors and attack progression to perform root cause analysis; Perform dynamic malware analysis to determine the exact nature of a threat. Any one of the following Certifications: * GCIA * CEH * SANS 504 * Security+ * Network+ * A+ * Or related entry level certification Preferred Education: * BS/BA in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics is preferred.
