Sr. Risk Associate

The Risk team is seeking talented team members who will be responsible for executing risk-based testing to validate control design and operating effectiveness. This includes ensuring appropriate risk mitigation and adherence to applicable Laws, Regulations, and Guidance for all control types across Financial Services.

As a team member you will have the opportunity to take part in conversations with internal and external partners (e.g., risk managers, compliance and credit policy advisors, business teams, etc.), dive deep into processes to understand performance, and drive improvement through your insights. Additionally, you will have a chance to perform data analysis, leverage process skills (Lean/Six Sigma) and function as a coach and mentor to others on your team and across Financial Services.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with key stakeholders and business partners to gather requirements, test control effectiveness, share results, drive changes to the control environment
  • Analyze control scripts / and systemic functionality to identify trends/opportunities for improvement
  • Consult on control design to ensure strong controls built into systems/process
  • Demonstrate curiosity and aptitude to learn about the current regulatory environment and internal credit policies within Financial Services
  • Track and ensure remediation of improvement opportunities
  • Handle multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
  • Document processes and projects (creating reports, presentations)


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting internal business clients
  • At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Process Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Business Process Management, Lean or Green Belt Certification
  • 2+ years of experience with Python or SQL
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Analytics
  • Risk Certifications (CRCM, CAMS, CIPP, ABA Risk Management Certification)
