Ref ID: 04530-0011822319Classification: ControllerCompensation: $120000.00 to $150000.00 yearlyWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on Controller that will oversee all accounting activities within the organization. The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations and their responsibilities will include accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly closes, forecasts, annual budgeting, and maintaining international office funding schedules. The Controller will ensure that the organization has the systems and procedures in place to ensure strong financial controls and flawless annual audits. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in domestic and international accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail in a fast-paced and mission-oriented environment. Responsibilities and Duties: * Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition * Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances * Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements * Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting * Research technical accounting issues for compliance * Support month-end and year-end close process * Manage and maintain the financial accounting system, ensuring maximum productivity and that it meets the needs of the business today and in the future * Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting * Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings * Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls * Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures * Providing leadership with insights for decision-making purposes * Additional controller duties as necessary * Conduct analyses of the monthly reporting from international operations to ensure compliance with US GAAP and any other regulations as applicable * Sets up and processes wires to international offices and consultants - maintains bank database to ensure proper processing * Some real estate coordination, including leases, reporting, and coordinating efforts with real estate management teams and tenants.If you are interested, please send your resume in confidence to Cesario Brooks, find me on LinkedIn or apply to this posting.Job Requirements:Qualifications: * Proven working experience as a Controller * 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience * Advanced degree in Accounting * CPA or CMA preferred* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures * Experience with creating financial statements * Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process * Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Preferred: * International accounting and foreign exchange * The ability to use financial data to tell a story, through data visualization and reporting * Experience with, or interest in, nonprofit entities, real estate, and education for human development.If you are interested, please send your resume in confidence to Cesario Brooks, find me on LinkedIn or apply to this posting.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
