Introduction The Prince William County Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Maintenance & Operations Technician at the County's Award-Winning Landfill. ABOUT THIS ROLE: As a Maintenance & Operations Technician in the County's Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division you will work with an innovative Landfill Operations team dedicated to conserving the environment and providing an important service to the citizen. PREFERENCES: A successful candidate is preferred to have experience operating Commercial Motor Vehicles such as Roll-Off Trucks, Water Trucks, Boom Trucks, articulated dump trucks; have basic knowledge of solid waste regulations; be able to prepare and maintain accurate logs including work order maintenance forms, vehicle hours, and pre trip reports; perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and vehicles. SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: SHIFT SCHEDULES ARE ESTABLISHED TO COVER OUR 7 DAY A WEEK, 361 DAY A YEAR OPERATION.
