16 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Office of Medical Benefits Management, 201 W. Preston Street, Baltimore, MD Main Purpose of Job The primary purpose of this position is to research, evaluate, analyze, develop, design and update all State policies, data and reports related to the programs managed by the Division of Children's Services. Particular focus is required for the following programs: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Audiology, Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), and Rare and Expensive Case Management (REM) programs. This position will also act as an advisor and consultant to the Division Chief and Deputy Director on health policy issues and requires a broad knowledge base of current Medicaid policies, regulations, and both state and federal and industry standards for best practices. This position will also be responsible for monitoring the REM contractor for case management requirements and RFP development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs. Note: A Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for the required experience. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The desired candidate should have good communication/writing skills, be detail oriented, flexible, and the ability to show initiative and prioritize multiple tasks. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
