The success of Office 365 is driving us to evaluate new markets, new business opportunities as well as new ways of accomplishing our goals. As engineers we need to be constantly looking for fresh ideas and new approaches, especially in the areas of risk, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance globally. We are looking for the right subject matter expert to help take some of these ideas and turn them into reality. We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to work directly with customers and across all Microsoft organizations to ensure unified evolutions and alignment toward similar standards and objectives related to cloud GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance). Working globally with customer leadership, regulators, auditors and other government bodies, and identifying blockers and working with the Engineering Teams to provide solutions. Candidates should expect occasional travel as necessary to work directly with customers and engineering teams bring issues to resolution. The individual must be able to navigate a highly complex environment, manage customer expectations and clearly and succinctly communicate with Customers, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Field, MCS, Partner and SI teams. Candidates should also be able to look across customers globally to determine common issues and drive solutions at the strategic level. Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: * Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements. * Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI or have an active TS/SCI. This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI clearance. * Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Required Qualifications: * 7+ years of program management experience * Deep technical understanding of broad range of technologies comprising the Office365 services including but not limited to: Client to server operating systems, services and features; platform and software as a service designs and implementations; encryption suites and methods; access control methodologies; implementation and configuration scenarios; etc. * Ability to review both design and implementation scenarios to provide technical feedback to both engineering and customer audiences respectively * Deep knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance requirements from multiple customer spaces including US government and international standards bodies Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Strong ability to work independently and handle ambiguity * Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide vision and direction in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and diverse environment * Ability to effectively drive business & technical conversations with developers, partners & customers Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer. Core Responsibilities: * Act as a customer facing O365 Engineering team representative to manage customer expectations * Organize and deliver customer education sessions at all levels on the capabilities of the O365 service specifically how we deliver to meet Governance, Risk and Compliance requirements. * Develop Strategic approach on how Microsoft will approach engineering design and delivery to meet World Wide Governance, Risk and Compliance requirements. * As part of the O365 Engineering team work directly with Trust and the component engineering teams to articulate customer requirements * Coordinate customer facing sessions for technical deep dives, feedback sessions and customer education * Identify customer policies, regulations and other regional laws or issues blocking consumption and educate customers, regulators, auditors and others on needed changes#06022021
