HVAC Service Technician - Apprentice (Union)

What you will do Apprentices primarily perform HVAC mechanical equipment service support, some electrical and controls work, and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer. Location: Will primarily support long-term maintenance and service projects at Fort McNair and Fort Myer (military experience not required). Company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and all necessary tools are provided Shift: First Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Union: Local 602 or 486 (employee's choice) How you will do it Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed. What we look for Required 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Familiarity with HVAC equipment 3. Ability to perform general building maintenance 4. Self starter with ability to work independently 5. Current driver's license 6. Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program 7. Good verbal and written communication skills 8. US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance and any other worksite specific badges. (This will involve a background/character, work experience, education, financial/credit and a criminal history records check). Preferred 1.
