Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineering, Senior Associate, who will serve as an Operational Technology (OT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a Federal Government client via remote access . Selected candidate must be near a Navy Regional Installation to check SIPR email 2-4 times per month at no cost to the government. The SME will apply leading-edge cyberspace principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts in cyber security for OT solutions found throughout the industrial passive information technology (IT) environment, e.g., civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, facility-related control systems, energy, transportation, utilities, critical infrastructure, public safety, telecommunications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to OT.
  • Provide technical knowledge and analysis of complex challenges that require an SME level of understanding for effective development and implementation of OT solutions.
  • Support working groups alongside other Headquarters program managers to ensure OT lifecycle and sustainment requirements are captured during project inception.
  • Serve as a technical expert on project teams providing technical direction and interpretation with realistic alternatives.
  • Develop technical strategies to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Support OT supply chain risk management.
  • Synthesize complex challenges into executive briefs and decision papers.
  • Identify emerging risks and threats to support mitigation.
  • Support all forms of OT exercises and planning.
  • Support, government led, pre & post-assessment and inspection activities.

Required Qualifications
  • 15 years of experience with distributed hardware, software and network communication elements used to control and monitor physical processes, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of networks and communications protocols commonly used in OT such as MODBUS and BACnet.
  • Advanced knowledge in OT system lifecycle and sustainment.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Limited CONUS and OCONUS travel required - estimated four (4) trips per year.
  • Per federal guidelines, ability to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain by December 8, 2021

Desired Qualifications
  • Active SIPR Account.
  • Experience with classified room protocol.
  • Experience with products such as shodan.io.

Education

Master's Degree from an accredited college. A combination of other degrees, experience, certifications & training could be substituted for a master's degree.

Clearance
