Summary

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,FINANCIAL SYSTEMS DIVISION. As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, you will serves as the Manager, Financial System Division (FSD) and provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise to groups involved in creating and developing automated financial systems.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, you will:

-Plan, direct, control, and report on the operation of Bureau's integrated financial management information system.
-Provide professional guidance to employees and management regarding all aspects of applicable policies and procedures related to various financial systems and applications mentioned above.
-Act as the principal advisor to the Chief in the development of policy and procedures for financial systems related activities.
-Provide effective management, supervision and oversight to ensure the proper operation of all financial system services at BEP. Direct and manage routing and prioritization of all requests for financial system matters.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - 1 to 5 nights per year.

  • SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires.     Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

    Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    -Performing financial management and managerial functions to support planning and execution of programs.

    Examples of such experience could include:
    - Maintaining the integration of various financial systems;
    - Using technology to implementing solutions to address new mandates;
    - Leading projects to improve business processes that involved multiple systems; AND
    - Experience monitoring the quality and effectiveness of the internal control systems in place.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    • A one year probationary period may be required.
