Duties

Summary

As a Paralegal for the CIA, you will provide case management, legal research, case-cite verification, blue book citations and general paralegal support to the Office of General Counsel. You will support legal issues relating to foreign intelligence, counterintelligence activities, and both civil and criminal litigation.

As a Paralegal for the CIA, you will provide case management, legal research, case-cite verification, blue book citations and general paralegal support to the Office of General Counsel. You will support legal issues relating to foreign intelligence, counterintelligence activities, and both civil and criminal litigation.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

  • US citizenship required (dual national US citizens are eligible).
  • All positions require relocation to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
  • All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview, and a comprehensive background investigation.
  • All applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
  • Broad range of experience in the legal profession as a working paralegal.
  • Ability to research, analyze and organize effectively.
  • Legal research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis and PACER.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.


Education

  • Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
