As you hone your project management skills, leadership abilities and the aptitude for managing multiple workstreams, you will have the opportunity to progress toA' the Associate Director level. QualificationsBachelor's degree5 year directly relevant work experience3 year supervisory or management experienceHands-on experience with some or all of the following areas:Defining data strategiesDefining, implementing, and operating a data governance bodies, including typical data governance policies, processes, and standardsDefining and applying data quality standards, using various data quality tools to profile data for data quality issues, and collaborating with data consumers to remediate data quality issuesDesigning and building relational databasesDeveloping strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a databaseWorking in a data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creationTranslating business needs into long-term architecture solutionsDefining, designing, and building dimensional databasesCreating an architecture that supports and advocates self-service business intelligence environmentsDeveloping data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systemsWorking knowledge of data management and data analytics solutions and practicesAbility to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independentlyAbility to be strategic and creative while remaining detail-oriented and process-focusedStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to travel 25%-50% Monday-ThursdayDue to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply to this rolePreferred QualificationsIn addition to the above listed:Master's degree or MBA7 years directly relevant work experience5 years supervisory or management experienceExperience building data visualizations in Tableau or PowerBIExperience building databases and knowledge of coding languages including Java, XML, and SQLExperience with ETL toolsDemonstrated technical skills with data management tools such as Collibra, Ab Initio, InformaticaData Management certification from an industry recognized standards organizationRelevant industry certifications demonstrating knowledge of data architecture and big data architectureCertification(s) in technology use to manage and analyze dataFamiliarity with data standards including one or more of the following: Metadata Definition Data Management Standards (ISO 11179), Taxonomy & Thesaurus Construction (ANSI/NISO z39), Controlled Vocabulary Development and RDF for Ontology Development (W3C standards SKOS) Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
