Location: Four Corners, MD Description: The Judge Group has a current opening for our client as a Cloud Financial Analyst.A' The positon is Remote for now and could include some onsite work in Silver Springs, MD once facilities open up.Position Summary:A' The Cloud Financial Analyst is responsible for estimating, monitoring and auditing cloud resources to improve the operational efficiency of cloud infrastructure and recommend Cost Optimization actions. This position is also responsible for estimating cloud infrastructure, cloud development costs and forecasting growth, while also considering third party support licensing agreements, labor costs, and financial statement impact. You will interact regularly with the leadership, developers, architects, operations, contracting and acquisition team to take actions to optimize cloud spending and improve efficiency.A' Primary Duties:A' A cents € cents Develop cost estimates, manage budgets and maintain spend plansA' A cents € cents Analyze the cloud infrastructure and provide financial updates and optimization recommendations A cents € cents Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure capacity and demand forecasts including day to day monitoring and tracking of cloud capacity & resource management for all servicesA' A cents € cents Coordinate with managers to log incoming cloud service demand and provide recommendations.A' A cents € cents Cloud infrastructure operational reporting (on performance, usage, compliance, etc.)A' A cents € cents Responsible for day-to-day cloud performance tracking and reporting including creating reports for new services & manage exceptions to usage and billing, as neededA' A cents € cents Continually monitor and report usage to ensure costs are controlled.A' A cents € cents Participate in deep architectural discussions to help project teams make the most cost-efficient choicesA' Secondary Duties:A' A cents € cents Create Cloud cost optimization framework and Governance mechanism using native and 3rd party toolsA' A cents € cents Create metrics, reports, and recommended remediation options and plans for financial excellence in the cloudA' A cents € cents Develop Cloud (AWS) financial controls and guardrailsA' A cents € cents Build automation in cloud native or third party tools to report on cloud infrastructure cost and operations.A' A cents € cents Implement cost and control dashboards and alerting (performance, usage, compliance, etc.)A' A cents € cents Review and validate incoming requests for new cloud services and/or infra components and ensure capacity availabilityA' A cents € cents Work with development and project teams to understand current systems and costs and make recommendations for usage and fiscal improvements.A' A cents € cents Manage AWS resource discount programs (Reserved Instances and Savings Plans)A' Required Education/Experience/Skills:A' A cents € cents Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field with emphasis on Cloud Analytics and 8-14 years' experience in Cloud Financial Analysis, specifically targeted at AWS, AWS Gov Cloud or equivalent education and experience.A' A' Must be able to effectively communicate technical information and work status (written and verbal) accurately and reliably to project leads and manager, and function well in a fast-paced/moderate-high intensity contract/task order environment Contact: asmith@ This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
